More than 100 million people have been forced to flee war, conflicts and persecution from Ukraine, Afghanistan, Yemen and other parts of the world.

At the end of 2021, 89.3 million people were displaced. Now, as per the latest UNHCR figures, there are already more than 100 million people who need to be protected. They need shelter, access to clean water, health care, education and jobs. They need a fair chance. Switzerland does not escape this trend. SapoCycle partnered with the UNHCR Switzerland and Liechenstein to support refugees arriving in the country with the access to soap.

Therefore our 1.700 beautiful, recycled soaps were distributed by the Bernese Oberland Asylum Association. Here people arrived from Colombia or the ones who recently arrived from Ukraine receive the social assistance.

SapoCycle is very sensitive with the refugee cause. We already gave soaps to refugees not only within Switzerland and France where we operate but also in the Greek Islands, in the border of Bosnia and Croatia where we partnered with other organization who help us with the distribution. Soap is a basic need that can prevent from disease. Displaced people lack of everything and among these, they lack access to soap. This is where we can make a difference.
